Create your own module
Add a module from a ready-made solution or from scratch, give it a name, icon and colour, and choose whether it has a board.
A module is a kind of record you add yourself, such as Properties, Tickets or Client payments. Not sure you need one? See What a module is and when to use one.
Only owners and admins can create modules. Everything happens in Settings → Modules (under Data & fields).
Create a module from scratch
- Open Settings and choose Modules.
- Click New module.
- Type the Name for one, for example Property, and the Name for many, for example Properties. If you leave the name for many empty, the CRM adds an "s" to the name for one.
- Optionally add a Description. It shows under the module's name at the top of its list.
- Pick an Icon and a Colour.
- Tick Give it a board with stages if records move through steps, like deals do. You can turn this on later too.
- Under Can be attached to, click the kinds of record it belongs with: Contacts, Companies, Deals, Leads, Employees (team members), or another of your modules. Click again to remove one.
- Click Create module.
The module appears in the left menu under Modules straight away, and its settings open so you can add fields. A new module starts with one field, Notes. A module with a board starts with three stages: New, In progress and Done (Done counts as won).
The icon and colour are chosen here, when you create the module.
Start from a ready-made solution
Below your own modules, Business solutions lists ready-made modules: Client payments, Vendor payments, Support tickets, Site visits, Service jobs, Recruitment, Expense claims, Contracts, and Events & webinars. Each card shows its stages, how many fields it has and what it shows on.
- Find the solution you want and click Install.
- The module is created with its fields, board, stages and links, and its settings open.
- Change anything you like: it is now an ordinary module.

A solution you already have shows Installed. Click Install again to add a second copy; you are asked first.
Where the module appears
- In the left menu, under Modules, by its name for many.
- In the Create menu in the top bar, by its name for one.
- At its own address: the card in Settings → Modules shows it under the name, for example /o/properties. The address is made from the name for many you first gave the module, and it never changes, even if you rename it.
- As a tab on the records it can be attached to, if you chose any. See Attach a module to other records.
Change a module's name and options
Click the module's card in Settings → Modules to open its settings. The card also shows how many fields and records it has, board if it has one, and hidden if it is out of the menu.
- Name of one and Name of many: change them and click away to save. Renaming keeps every record, field and link.
- Board with stages: turn the board on or off.
- Products, estimates and invoices: product rows on every record, and estimates and invoices made from them. See Sell from a module: products, estimates and invoices.
- Can be attached to and Show on those records: see Attach a module to other records.
- Amount field, To a deal this is and These payments pay the deal's invoices: see Money modules: money in and money out.
- Quick form asks for and Fields: see Add and arrange a module's fields.
- Show in the sidebar: see Switch a module off or delete it.
Changes save as you make them. Click Done to close.
