Start a chat with a visitor
Write first to someone browsing your site, and their chat window opens with your message.
You do not have to wait for a visitor to write. When someone has been on your contact page for a while, or has come back for the third time, you can start the conversation.
Reach out first
- Open Live visitors and click the visitor. In the list, you can click Reach out beside them instead.
- Under Reach out first, write your message. The box shows an example opening line about the page they are on.
- Click Send.
Their chat window opens on their screen with your message, and the conversation appears in your Inbox, assigned to you.

Your saved replies are here too. If the visitor is already chatting, their panel shows Open conversation instead.
When to reach out
- A hot or warm visitor who has not written yet.
- Someone who has spent a while on a pricing, quote or contact page.
- A returning visitor you recognise.
Keep it short, helpful and about the page they are on. One message is enough: if they do not answer, let them browse.
