Disconnect or reconnect a website

Stop the chat on one website without losing anything, and switch it back on later with the same code.

Guide 3103Updated

Disconnecting a website stops the chat appearing on it. Nothing is deleted: its conversations, visitors and analytics are kept, and you can reconnect it at any time. Use it while a website is being rebuilt, when it closes, or when you no longer answer for it.

Disconnecting and reconnecting need the owner or admin role.

Disconnect a website

  1. Click Websites in the menu.
  2. At the bottom of the website's card, click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm. Its card is now marked Disconnected.

From the next page a visitor opens, the chat no longer appears on that website. You do not need to touch the website's code.

Reconnect it

Click Reconnect on the same card. The chat comes back with the same snippet, so nothing needs changing on the website itself.
