Saved replies

Write your common answers once, such as opening hours, delivery and home visits, and send them in two keystrokes.

Guide 2201Updated

A saved reply is an answer your team gives again and again, written once. Each has a shortcut: a short word you type after / to find it.

Owners and admins add and change saved replies. Everyone in the team can use them.

Add a saved reply

  1. Open Settings and click Saved replies.
  2. Under Shortcut, type a short word, such as hours. Use letters, numbers or dashes.
  3. Under Message, type the answer.
  4. Click Add reply.

To change one, edit its shortcut or message in the list and click Save changes. The bin button deletes it.

Use a saved reply in a chat

  1. In a conversation, type / at the very start of the box. The list of saved replies opens.
  2. Keep typing to narrow it: /hou finds hours. The search looks in the messages too.
  3. Click the one you want. Its text drops into the box.
  4. Change anything you like, then press Enter to send.

You can also click the lightning button at the left of the box to open the list.

Nothing is sent until you press Enter or click Send, so a saved reply is always a starting point. The same list is there when you write first to a visitor from Live visitors.
