Where to start

The first things to do in TicAte ChatIQ, so visitors on your website can chat with your team the same day.

Guide 1001Updated

TicAte ChatIQ puts a chat window on your website. Visitors ask their questions there, your team answers from one shared inbox, and you can see who is browsing your site right now. This page walks you through the first things to set up.

Open chatiq.ticate.com and choose Continue with TicAte. One TicAte account opens every TicAte app you use. See Sign in with your TicAte account.

The dashboard

After signing in you land on the Dashboard. Four figures sit at the top: Open conversations, Visitors (24h), Chats started (24h) and Avg first response (24h). Under them, On site now shows who is browsing your websites at this moment, and Recent activity lists new chats and people who have just told you their name. See The dashboard.

Set up in four steps

  1. Put the chat on your website: open Websites, click Add website, then paste the one line of code it gives you into your site. See Add your website and install the chat.
  2. Make the chat sound like your business: its title, colour, greeting and suggested questions. See Change how the chat looks and greets visitors.
  3. Invite your team under Settings → Team. See Invite your team and choose roles.
  4. Turn on notifications, so you hear about a new message even when ChatIQ is in another tab. See Notifications for messages and arrivals.

Then learn the everyday work

  • The inbox: where every chat arrives, and where you answer it.
  • Live visitors: who is on your site right now, and who is worth a hello.
  • Saved replies: your common answers, ready in two keystrokes.
